Within the framework of the NEB SUD Hub, the LIFE BE-WoodEN project implemented two pilot actions to apply and validate, in real-life contexts, knowledge and skills related to timber construction, in line with the New European Bauhaus approach. 
The actions, carried out in the Emilia-Romagna and Liguria regions (Italy), made it possible to assess the potential of the NEB approach in promoting sustainable local wood supply chains for the construction sector, while fostering social inclusion, comfort, and accessibility, and contributing to the identification and removal of technical, organisational, and regulatory barriers. 
Both actions were developed through a place-based, multidisciplinary, and multi-stakeholder approach, taking into account territorial specificities, local resources, and housing needs.
